Leoben is an ideal starting point for numerous cycling tours in Upper Styria. No matter in which geographical direction, there is something for every taste and requirement. The Hotel Kongress Leoben, for example, is located directly on the R2 Mur cycle path, which is one of the most beautiful river cycle paths in Austria.Head west along the Mur towards Judenburg. In St. Michael you meet the R15, the Rastland Cycle Path, which connects the Enns Cycle Path with the Mur Cycle Path. To the east, the trail leads via Bruck an der Mur, where the R5 Mürztalradweg branches off, on to the provincial capital Graz. Thanks to the well-developed suburban railway network, the way there or back to/from a planned tour can also be perfectly completed by public transport. Many of our guests therefore choose our house as a "base" and explore the Mur, Mürz and Liesing valleys this way..
In recent years, the range of mountain bike routes around Leoben has also been constantly expanded. Whether challenging up the local mountain, the Mugel, or on shorter routes near the city - the tours are all perfectly signposted. You can reach the starting points of the tours from the hotel in just a few minutes. As a conclusion to each tour, we recommend the "living room of Leoben", the main square. With its southern flair and gastronomic offerings, hunger and thirst can be wonderfully quenched here after long days of cycling.
For all tours, the Hotel Kongress, as an excellent Bett & Bike hotel, offers the relevant information material, which we will be happy to provide you with. Guest bikes can be stored safely and locked in our bike cellar. The tired e-bike battery can also be recharged there.
